With us at the MEG: Birgit collaborated with the MEG for about a year between 2014 and 2015. With us she was involved as experienced technician in a number of projects, from the study of mobile elements in Salmonella strains, to the study of the importance of interactions bacteria-zooplankton in the mainteinance of antibiotic resistances in waters, her main topic. Now she is employed as technician at the Institute of Botany of the University of Innsbruck, in the Group of Ilse Kranner mainly dealing with the large EU Project Ecoseed.
