Today: Karim moved to Germany for a postdoc position in the working group of Federica Amici (http://www.eva.mpg.de/pks/people/federica-amici/index.html). He will work on his speciality, behavioural studies on the interaction between social primates and humans.
With us at the MEG: Karim, a researcher from Pakistan, worked on a literature survey on rotifers. His project disentangled the role of environmental and climatic variables on rotifer biodiversity at the global scale, accounting for the effect of sampling bias and spatial autocorrelation. His previous research interests were in the field of ecology, behaviour, and conservation of mammals, studying mostly innovation and social learning in primates.
Methods at MEG: literature survey, database management, scientometrics, statistics.
